SOCIAL media is abuzz with allegations of ‘traffic police brutality’ after a video was circulated following an incident in Meerensee yesterday.
According to reports a female driver was pulled over following an alleged traffic violation and was ‘manhandled’ by officers who took her into custody in full view of her young child who was in the vehicle.
She was allegedly held in Richards Bay police cells and denied access to her lawyers or even water to drink.

The Zululand Observer was unable to ascertain whether any charges had been laid against the woman
