Koster farmer out on bail after fatal shooting incident
Koster - A North West farmer has been granted R5000 bail after being arrested for allegedly shooting a man on a bicycle this weekend.Police spokesperson Paul Ramaloko says 48-year-old Cornelius Geldenhuys will be back in the Koster Magistrate's Court on December 7.
Geldenhuys allegedly fatally wounded 41-year-old Solomon Quku, around 16:00 on Saturday, a few kilometres from his farm at Koster, after accusing him of theft. Geldenhuys alerted the police about the incident after which he was arrested.
Ramaloko says the police are still conducting ballistic tests on the gun that was confiscated from Geldenhuys after the incident.
