The body of 59-year-old Charles Jordaan of Breyten, Mpumalanga, was found next to the roadside on the N11 between Ermelo and Hendrina in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Police believe Mr Jordaan may have been murdered elsewhere and his body dumped at the roadside.
