Durban businessman shot 3 times in the head
Durban - Police detectives are probing the hit-style slaying of a man, shot as he left his Jacobs business premises in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man was understood to have been shot several times in the head in an apparent business robbery.
Police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said that officers had responded to a report of a shooting on Manchester Road after 6:00.
He said that when they had arrived, they had made a grim discovery – the body of the 57-year-old man.
"A 57-year-old male was fatally shot by an unknown male while he was coming from work along Manchester Road, Jacobs," he said.
"The suspect fled on foot and the victim sustained three gunshot wounds. The motive of the killing is unknown at this stage. Brighton Beach police are investigating a case of murder and no arrest has been made at this stage," he added.
