Promises that God can be found...

Jeremiah 29:13
"And ye shall seek ME, and find ME, when ye shall search for ME with all your heart"

V 1–4: COMMUNICATION TO CAPTIVES: Jeremiah sends a letter to all the captives in Babylon giving them God’s instructions as to how they must behave in captivity.
V 5–9: BUILD IN BABYLON The captives are to get established in Babylon as peace-loving inhabitants. Normal work and family life are to continue and they are to seek Babylon’s peace in prayer and in the way they live. They are to reject false prophets who give them other advice.
V 10–14: REALITY OF RETURN Jeremiah underlines that, after seventy years, they will return to their own land. God will accomplish this as they seek Him wholeheartedly. He will also bring back His people from other nations. This is one of those prophecies with fulfilment to come both in the long-term and in the short-term. V 15–20: PUNISHMENT ON PROPHETS They are told that God will punish those prophets who lead them astray and who have rejected true prophets and God’s word.
V 21–32: DEALING WITH DECEIVERS Specific judgements are announced against Ahab, Zedekiah, and Shemaiah. These are people who prophesied against the truths that God told Jeremiah to take to His people. God’s concern for His word, His people and His prophet are seen in these prophecies.

Isaiah 55:6-7

Seek ye the LORD while HE may be found, call ye upon HIM while HE is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and HE will have mercy upon him; and to our GOD, for HE will abundantly pardon

GOD'S desire is that all people should seek after HIM and find HIM. Those who seek GOD with all their heart are rewarded, and those who fail to seek HIM do so to their eternal loss....

"Those who seek ME shall find ME. . .
