VIDEO: Mysterious Ghost Ship, Jesus or Project Blue Beam: Government Plans Fake Alien Invasion To Usher in World 'Peace'?

Matthew 24:23King James Version (KJV)

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Matthew 24

V 1–2: STONES: The disciples are struck by the beauty of the temple building. Jesus tells them that the temple will be destroyed. Its stones will fall. Christianity is more than buildings! V 3: SIGN Jesus’ disciples privately ask Him about the sign of His coming at the end of the age. V 4–8: START: Jesus warns them not to allow anyone to deceive them. He teaches the start of the process leading to His coming will include the arrival of false christs, wars and rumours of wars, famines, pestilence, and earthquakes. These things are only the start.V 9–14: SAVED: These things will be followed by tribulation, international hatred against Christ’s disciples, betrayal and hatred by some of their own Christian brethren, false prophecy, growing lawlessness, and increasing coldness of love for God. The confidence is that those who endure to the end shall be saved, because their salvation is eternal. They must concentrate on preaching the gospel to all nations. This commission is still ours today as we see these days approaching and perhaps arriving. V 15–26: SACRILEGE: Jesus teaches that Daniel’s prophecy that the abomination of desolation will stand ‘in the holy place’ is a signal to those who live in Judea to flee immediately. They must pray that their flight will not be in winter or on a Sabbath day, which, interestingly, will still be observed then. Unprecedented tribulation will follow, which will be shortened so that the elect will be saved. Strong deception will cause many to believe in false christs and false prophets. But the elect need not be deceived and must not follow the popular and sensational fads of the time. Jesus tells this to His disciples, then and now, so that when it happens all will be reminded that His Word is true and thus all will be encouraged to stand. Discernment is needed so that Christians do not stampede to follow those who claim Christ has come. All will know when He comes again. V 27–31: SIGN: Christ’s coming will be visible to all just as lightning which flashes across the heavens is visible. After the darkening of the heavenly light, which follows the tribulation, the sign of Christ’s coming will appear in heaven. All tribes of the earth will mourn Him and He will be seen ‘on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory’. His angels, accompanied by a great trumpet sound, will gather His elect who will be borne by the four winds into heaven for that gathering, at the second coming. V 32–35: SCRIPTURE: Just as the arrival of tender branches and new leaves on a fig tree proclaims the coming of summer, so the escalation of the things that Jesus teaches will proclaim the coming of the Son of Man. Jesus reminds His disciples of the permanence of Scripture by saying that heaven and earth will pass away, but His words never will. V 36–44: SUDDENLY!: Jesus teaches that only God the Father knows the exact hour of His coming. This is an aspect of Christ’s divine knowledge that He has chosen to lay aside in His humility to become our Saviour. But, just as the world ignored the righteous preaching of Noah and would not prepare to escape the judgement of the flood, so a failure to prepare in repentance and faith for Christ’s second coming will lead to judgement then. Despite the warnings to repent and turn to God, and despite the prophecies of His coming, it will be upon them unexpectedly, suddenly, and too late. Christians, however, should confidently expect His coming and remain ready. V 45–51: SERVANTS: Those belonging to Christ are compared to a wise and faithful servant who does God’s will and is ready for his Master’s return, which will be a great blessing to him. Those who do not trust Christ, but remain in their sin, will, with the hypocrites, face ‘weeping and gnashing of teeth’.

Dictionary of Bible Themes:
  • 1424 predictions:  Speaking authoritatively of the future. Since God knows the future he is able to reveal it to people beforehand. Predictions, which are often but not necessarily contained in prophecies, should not be confused with promises or expressions of intention.

☆  1 Thessalonians 4:17King James Version (KJV)
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord

1 Thessalonians 4

V 1–2: INCREASE AND INSTRUCTION Their spiritual lives should increase continually and abundantly. They should remember Christ’s commandments received through Paul and his Christian colleagues. V 3–8: SANCTIFICATION AND SEX God’s will is to have a holy people in contrast to the unregenerate Gentiles. This means that sexual immorality has no place whatsoever in the life of any believer. Adultery and lustful passion is out. To reject this clean and holy teaching is to reject God and His Holy Spirit. V 9–12: LOVE AND LIVINGHeavenly love towards each other must predominate. As it increases, it will produce a quiet, industrious, ordered life. This will ensure that they have a good testimony to those outside and that their needs are met by their daily work. V 13–18: COMFORT AND COMING Some suggested to the Thessalonians that Christians who had died had missed the blessing of Christ’s second coming. Paul teaches them that, when Christ comes, those who have died physically will be raised with a resurrection body first and be reunited with Christ in the air. Christ will bring their redeemed souls with Him, so there will also be another reunion—that of the body and soul of the believer. Then those who are alive physically will join that blessed reunion with their returned Lord of glory. This is, of course, a great comfort. The Christian who has died and the Christian who is alive both have their future gloriously secured in Jesus Christ. Those who died trusting Christ only fell ‘asleep’ in death, and awoke immediately in His eternal presence. Now they will be given a resurrection body also when Christ brings them back with Him.
